Gross-margin model

Express retains 40% of Core, Professional or Healthcare Occupations Gross Margin. Client-account minimum margin bases apply: Core 10% or $1.75/hour; Professional and Healthcare 10% or $5/hour. These are margin bases, not extra flat royalties. Eligible businesses can receive performance bonuses.Monthly

Direct-hire and search fees

Core’s schedule retains 8% of Core Gross Receipts and Professional Direct Hire/Search Fees. The Professional schedule separately lists 18% of Direct Hire/Search Fees; Healthcare lists 8% of Healthcare Gross Receipts. Confirm the applicable service model rather than adding these rates.Monthly

Opt-out model

8% royalty plus 2% marketing contribution on Total Billings (temporary staffing and direct hire, with disclosed discounts, refunds and tax exclusions). Opt-out franchisees are not eligible for bonuses.Each accounting period

Advertising — other models

Franchisee contribution: 0.6% of Gross Margin; the franchisor contributes another 0.4%. The direct-hire schedule separately requires 2% of Gross Receipts. These have different calculation bases.

Running the business

owner annual conference obligation

Core operators must attend the annual International Leadership Conference at their own expense; Professional and Healthcare operators must attend the annual Catalyst or designated replacement conference at their own expense.

owner personal guarantee

Every equity owner of an entity franchisee must personally guarantee all franchise-agreement obligations and accept personal liability for breaches.

owner employee restrictions

Item 15 does not require employee confidentiality or non-compete agreements or other imposed employee restrictions.

owner participation

Express requires active day-to-day, on-premises supervision by the owner/principal, who must hold at least51%equity. The manual currently requires three internal staff roles. Item15continues beyond this page.
